[ well, this week certainly has been a Time. the kidnapping, the murder and now the execution? this has certainly escalated quickly. but after shima did shima things, he needs to do something to unwind so perhaps now is the best time to head to the penny arcade.

"DESTROY HIM"
... seriously? again?
[ he doesn't seem to be doing too good at this game ]
[ Yeah, the weekend continues to... weekend. Likewise already exhausted, Alphinaud opts to wander into a place he's barely peeked into rather than follow through with his usual routine. Like Shima, he could use for a distraction.
The building is still full of all sorts of puzzling machines, but then, attempting to figure them out could be a good way to think of something else. Before Alphinaud fiddles with one or another for too long, though, he spots another already having a go at a game. ]
[ distractions are where it's at right now. why think about what happened over the past three days when you can mindlessly do something else? sounds like a great plan to shimas.
for the moment, the arcade is his home away from home away from home. it's easy to just to whittle away the time here... even if the games are slightly different from the ones back home. now if only they had a concluding fantasy game... ]
That's right! A machine that thinks. The way it's made, the game can come up with moves on it's own, so you can still play even if you don't have someone around to play against you.
[ shima has spent a lot of time wandering around today, trying to get his mind off things. there was a lot that went on... a lot for him to process. he's wandered back to the northern area and is now spending time in the control room. he's not doing anything much, but looking out the window ]
[ Likewise, Alphinaud ends up where the winds take him, so to speak. There's a lot to process, and even more to think about. His feet take him to the control bridge too, where he ignores the machinery in favor of staring out into the vast, blackened sky, dotted with all the stars of the universe.
Before long, he has company. ]
Indeed—'tis quite unlike anything I have ever seen before. Had anyone told me a view like this existed a week ago, I do not think I would have believed it.
