[ shima's leaving the emporium eventually. he's still got his staff out, resting against his shoulder, the rings jingling as he walks. he's got a smile on his face, in spite of everything that happened, but it's also pretty plain to see that he's not happy about anything that happened ]
Haaah, this certainly has gotten more troublesome, hasn't it?
(Unless you're used to being in environments where people are out to get you and putting their own interests ahead of others but Claude doesn't quite say anything about that,)
It depends on which murder you mean. The first one might have caught us off guard but by then, we knew we were dealing with someone who had no issue with taking a life and trying to hide their role.
(They should have just disarmed everyone before they even started. )
If they're sacrificing themselves to protect everyone else, I would imagine they wouldn't want anyone to follow in their footsteps. Unfortunately, we have quite a few people here who are willing to repeat the same thing.
I would rather we focus on just finding the right person and sparing ourselves unnecessary sacrifice.
(HE SAYS, NOT REALIZING WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT WEEK.)
Hm? (Don't mind him Claude coming back from SOMEWHERE with his bow and a small cloth bag that, presumably, has arrows in it,) If I didn't know better, I'd say you were waiting for me.
(And with that, he's just going to lead Shima up towards his room then! He steps in first and holds open the door for Shima before shutting it behind the two of them.
He then makes his way over towards his pod and has a seat on the bed's edge, stretching his legs out and smiling,)
I'm asking because the same thing started to happen to me last week. I started losing my memories and it got worse and worse until I could barely remember my name.
And that's when I met someone who told me things similar to what you said at the trial.
(It's kind of disappointing! He expected more but hmm,)
What have you told the others that have come to talk to you? Did you tell them your team? And do you think any of them suspect they were the one who told you what happened? Think carefully.
Week 0; Post Trial
Haaah, this certainly has gotten more troublesome, hasn't it?

He walks along next to Shima, arms raised to rest behind his neck and hums in agreement,)
You're telling me. We've only been here for a week.
(And everything has changed so much.)
no subject
Things certainly escalated quickly.
[ there's a slight pause ]
Now, I wonder if they'll keep escalating.
no subject
(HOPEFULLY IT STOPS AFTER THAT THOUGH????)
no subject
[ BUT YEAH IT'LL BE GOOD IF THINGS STOPPED ]
no subject
It depends on which murder you mean. The first one might have caught us off guard but by then, we knew we were dealing with someone who had no issue with taking a life and trying to hide their role.

Some of us should have seen it coming.
(There's definitely a level of guilt here.)
no subject
I think all the murders, but the first one was by far the most surprising.
[ ah, but would everyone agree to that now? that's the question ]
Hmm, perhaps. But I think a lot of us might have still been hoping that Hajime-chan's death was accidental.
no subject
Claude doesn't comment. He's not the type to just compare deaths like that. He has better respect!!)
And what would we have done if it was?
no subject
Haah, I'm not too sure about that! I'd like to think we could have found a way to keep everyone safe, if that were the case.
no subject
(He really, truly does but wanting to believe isn't the same as truly believing,)
... A way that doesn't involve self-sacrifice.
(SOME PEOPLE............)

[ SOMe PEOPLE................. ]

(He's not very noble!!)
Once you're dead, you're dead. There's nothing you can do to help after that and what do you really leave behind?
no subject
no subject
(Which is kind of fitting considering this place,)
If that memory is "volunteering to die!" then I think I'll give it a pass.
no subject
After all, I'm sure the dead wouldn't want us to die anyway.
no subject
I would rather we focus on just finding the right person and sparing ourselves unnecessary sacrifice.
(HE SAYS, NOT REALIZING WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT WEEK.)

Hopefully, nothing like that will happen again.
[ rip..... ]
week 1, post execution
Hey, Claude-kun.
no subject
Hm? (Don't mind him Claude coming back from SOMEWHERE with his bow and a small cloth bag that, presumably, has arrows in it,) If I didn't know better, I'd say you were waiting for me.
Sorry to keep you waiting.
no subject
[ but he's noticing that and keeping note of it, but not saying anything about it. ] Ahh, perhaps! But it's fine, it's fine~
Do you have a moment to talk?
no subject
(But yeah, sure, let's go)
Yours or mine?
(He does, after all, have an empty room now.)
no subject
[ after you~ ]
no subject
He then makes his way over towards his pod and has a seat on the bed's edge, stretching his legs out and smiling,)
To what do I owe the pleasure?
no subject
About today, what happened...
[ another beat ]
Thanks, for what you did.
no subject
(He has... an idea, though, given what he knows about Shima and Izumo.)

Week 2, after trial
So whenever he gets the chance, Claude is just going to greet him lightly (but not exactly warmly))
Do you really care about her?
(LIKE, WHY THANK HIM FOR LOOKING OUT FOR HER??? AND THEN HURT HER LIKE THIS?)
no subject
I do.
no subject
Care to explain?
no subject
no subject
I know she wasn't particularly fond of you but your actions still hurt her. And I imagine after tomorrow, things will be worse.
Is that how you show you care?
no subject
[ nods ]
Yeah.
no subject

no subject
Like she could have started losing her memories quickly. Until there was nothing left.
no subject
no subject
And that's when I met someone who told me things similar to what you said at the trial.
no subject
Well, isn't that something. I'm assuming that's no longer happening for you then?
no subject
But I know that you were told to do this by Fox. Can you tell me exactly what they said? I want to compare stories.

What have you told the others that have come to talk to you? Did you tell them your team? And do you think any of them suspect they were the one who told you what happened? Think carefully.
no subject
[ this is what happens when you forget the people who are your moral centers ]
I've told some of them, yeah. It seems everyone's who come to talk to me already had ideas of what's been happening.
